Pastor Bill greeted the congregation and emphasized the importance of fellowship and getting to know one another. He encouraged everyone to greet one another and take the opportunity to meet new people. He even had a fun idea to capture a video of the congregation to commemorate this special day.
In his message, Pastor Bill reflected on his calling to teach God’s people and the significance of keeping Jesus at the center of everything. He highlighted Jesus’ superiority to Moses, illustrating the greatness and majesty of our Savior. Jesus is not just a figure from the past; He is alive and present in our lives today.
Pastor Bill urged the congregation to have a bold and courageous faith in Jesus. He reminded them to hold onto their confidence and hope in Christ and not to allow doubt or unbelief to take root in their hearts. Instead, they should rest in Jesus’ finished work on the cross and trust in His promises.

Applying the Message
Encouragement to Continue in Faith
As we reflect on Pastor Bill’s sermon, we are reminded of the rest and peace that can only be found in Jesus. It is a humbling and comforting message, reminding us of God’s love and grace.
To apply this message to our lives, we must first surrender our burdens and worries to Jesus. We often try to carry the weight of the world on our shoulders, but Jesus invites us to cast our cares on Him. We can find rest in His presence and trust that He will carry us through.
Additionally, we should regularly check our hearts and motives. It’s easy to become complacent or distracted in our faith journey, but by examining ourselves, we can identify areas that need growth and improvement. We can encourage one another and spur one another on towards love and good works.
Finally, let us continue in our faith with boldness and courage. As we face challenges and trials, we can rest in the knowledge that our victory has already been won through Jesus. Let us trust in Him and His promises, knowing that He is faithful to complete the good work He started in us.
May this message inspire and encourage you as you navigate through life. Remember, you need a rest, and that rest can be found in Jesus. Keep seeking Him and pursuing a life of faith.
