As Easter weekend approaches, we encourage attendees to invite their neighbors to experience God’s work in the church. A Good Friday cross service will be held at 5:30 PM and 7:00 PM, providing the perfect opportunity to bring someone who doesn’t know Christ. Throughout the service, we will be praying for the Holy Spirit to move in the hearts of those invited and bring them to repentance and faith in Jesus. The Holy Spirit empowers, comforts, guides, and encourages believers, leading to empowerment, contentment, joy, and the abundant life. Let’s imitate Jesus and follow His example in our thoughts, words, and actions. The service will end with a closing prayer for the Holy Spirit to guide and empower believers and bring unbelievers to repentance and faith in Jesus. 8:30 AM Service
Join us this Sunday for the 8:30 AM service at Coggin Church, where Dr. Todd Gray will deliver a powerful message on living in the flesh compared to living in the Spirit. This message will focus on how believers can live a Spirit-filled life guided by a Spirit-led mindset. Come and learn how you can experience the transformative power of the Holy Spirit in your daily life.
The service will begin with a time of worship and praise to the Lord Almighty. Together, we will lift our voices in adoration and thanksgiving, giving glory to God for His goodness and faithfulness in our lives.
During the service, we will also have a baptism testimony, highlighting the transformative power of a relationship with Jesus. You will hear from someone whose life has been changed by encountering Christ and how they have found forgiveness and wholeness through Him. It is a powerful reminder of the redeeming love of Jesus and the hope that is found in Him.
Additionally, we encourage all attendees to fill out connect cards. These cards serve as a way for us to connect with you and assist you in getting involved in the church community. Whether you are a new visitor or a longtime member, we value your presence and want to walk alongside you on your faith journey.
Furthermore, there will be both online and in-person tithing options available. We believe in the biblical principle of tithing, which is giving back a portion of our income to support the work of the church. Your generosity enables us to continue serving our community and spreading the message of the gospel.
Easter Weekend
As Easter weekend approaches, we encourage you to invite your neighbors to experience the work of God in our church. Easter is a time of celebration and reflection on the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. It is an opportunity for us to share the hope we have in Him with others.
One of the key events during Easter weekend is the Good Friday Cross Service. This service will be held twice, at 5:30 PM and 7:00 PM. It is a solemn and meaningful service that focuses on the significance of the cross and the gospel message. We encourage you to invite someone who does not know Christ to this service, as it is a perfect opportunity for them to hear about the love and sacrifice of Jesus.
On Easter Sunday, we will have our regular service times. It is a time to come together as a church family and celebrate the resurrection of Jesus. We will rejoice in the victory over sin and death that He has secured for us.
In addition, Sunday School classes may participate in service projects during this time. It is a chance for us to engage in acts of service and demonstrate the love of Christ to others. By participating in service projects, we can make a positive impact in our community and extend Christ’s love to those in need.
Volunteering
Volunteers are needed for various roles during Easter weekend. Whether it’s serving in the parking lot, greeting at the doors, or helping in the children’s ministries, your participation is valuable and appreciated. If you have a heart for serving and want to be a part of making Easter weekend a success, we encourage you to sign up online or contact the church office. Together, we can create a welcoming and meaningful experience for everyone who attends.
Romans 8
We are excited to announce that we will be memorizing Romans 8 as a church. Romans 8 is a beautiful chapter that speaks to the power of the Holy Spirit and the hope we have in Christ. In preparation for this, cards with the verse will be available at all the exits, on stage, and in the foyer. Take a card with you and use it as a reminder to meditate on God’s Word throughout the week. Let us hide God’s Word in our hearts and allow it to transform our lives.
Jose and Mary Lou Marco
During the service, we lifted up a prayer for Jose and Mary Lou Marco, church planters in Wisconsin. They are devoted to spreading the gospel and making disciples in their community. We prayed for their children, Ezekiel and Abigail, asking God to bless them, guide them, and empower them to serve Him wholeheartedly. We also lifted up their prayer requests for wisdom in decision making and their potential return to Argentina. May the Lord continue to use the Marcos for His glory and bring fruit from their labor.
Living in the Spirit
During Dr. Todd Gray’s message, he emphasized the importance of avoiding a fleshly mindset and instead, pursuing a Spirit-led mindset. When we live according to the flesh, we are driven by our own desires and selfishness. However, when we live in the Spirit, we allow the Holy Spirit to guide and empower us.
Living in the Spirit brings life, peace, and righteousness. It transforms our thoughts, words, and actions. The Holy Spirit provides us with empowerment, comfort, guidance, and encouragement. By embracing a Spirit-filled mindset, we can imitate Jesus and follow His example. In doing so, we experience empowerment, contentment, joy, and the abundant life that Christ offers.
Imitating Jesus
Imitating Jesus means following His example in our thoughts, words, and actions. As believers, we are called to live in a manner that reflects Christ’s character and love. By doing so, we demonstrate the work of the Holy Spirit in our lives. When we are Spirit-filled, we experience empowerment, contentment, joy, and an abundant life. We find fulfillment in serving and loving others, just as Jesus did.
Closing Prayer
In closing, we prayed for guidance and empowerment by the Holy Spirit. We asked God to move in the hearts of unbelievers and bring them to repentance and faith in Jesus. Easter reminds us of the sacrificial love of Christ and the hope we have in Him. May we continue to walk in the Spirit, imitating Jesus, and sharing His love with those around us.
