Worship 12 31

Introduction to the Worship Video

Welcome to LivingStone Church’s worship video for December 31st! We’re so excited to have you here joining us in worship. Our worship band has put together an incredible video, filled with uplifting music and heartfelt messages. Sit back, relax, and let the music and lyrics wash over you as we enter into a time of worship together.

Encouragement to Seek Heavenly Things

As we begin this new year, it’s important to set our minds on heavenly things. In Colossians 3:1-2, we’re reminded to keep seeking the things that are above, where Christ is seated at the right hand of God. This means that we need to prioritize spiritual growth and focus on our relationship with God.

In a world that often distracts and pulls us in different directions, it can be challenging to prioritize heavenly things. But when we intentionally seek God and make Him our first priority, everything else falls into place. So, as we enter into this new year, let’s encourage one another to set our minds on the things that truly matter and seek God with all our hearts.

Filling in for Absent Church Members

Today, we have a few members of our church who are absent. But that doesn’t mean we can’t continue to worship and support one another. We are a family, and when one member is missing, the rest of us step up to fill in the gaps.

Let’s make an effort to reach out to those who couldn’t be with us today. A simple text, phone call, or prayer can go a long way in letting them know that they are missed and loved. Together, we can ensure that everyone feels connected and supported, even when they can’t physically be present. It’s a beautiful way to live out the love of Christ and strengthen our church community.

Reconnecting with a High School Friend

Sharing a Personal Story

Recently, I had the opportunity to reconnect with a high school friend before her passing. It reminded me of the importance of cherishing the time we have with loved ones and making the most of every moment.

My friend and I had lost touch over the years, but thanks to a class reunion, we were able to catch up. Little did I know that it would be the last time I would see her. When she passed away, I was grateful for the last words we exchanged, which were filled with love and affection.

This experience taught me the significance of the last words we speak to one another. We never know when it will be the last time we see or talk to someone, so it’s vital to make every interaction count. Let’s always strive to leave behind words of love, encouragement, and the invitation to embrace the gift of salvation.

Importance of Last Words and Their Impact

Last words have a profound impact on us. Whether they were words of love, regret, or wisdom, they linger in our hearts and minds long after the person has passed. It’s a reminder that our words hold power and can shape the lives of those we encounter.

Jesus understood the weight of His last words to His followers before His ascension. In John 14, He comforted them and promised to prepare a place for them in His Father’s house. And in Acts 1, He assured them of the Holy Spirit’s coming, empowering them to be witnesses in all the world.

Let’s remember the importance of our words to others. In times of farewell or even in everyday conversations, we have the opportunity to leave a lasting impact. Let’s use our words to inspire, encourage, and point others to the hope and salvation found in Christ.

Seeking First the Kingdom of God

Instructions to Prioritize God’s Kingdom

In Matthew 6:33, Jesus instructs us to seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness. This means that our primary focus should be on aligning our lives with God’s will and purpose. We are called to prioritize our relationship with Him above all else.

Seeking God’s kingdom involves surrendering our desires and plans to His leading. It means seeking His guidance in every decision, pursuing His righteousness, and living according to His principles. When we make God’s kingdom our priority, everything else falls into place, and we experience the abundant life that He has promised.

As we enter into this new year, let’s commit to seeking God’s kingdom above all else. Let’s make Him the center of our lives and allow Him to guide and direct our steps.

Importance of Righteousness

Righteousness is a key component of seeking God’s kingdom. It involves living according to God’s standards and pursuing a lifestyle that reflects His character and values.

When we prioritize righteousness, we align ourselves with God’s will and experience His blessings. Righteousness impacts every area of our lives, including our relationships, decisions, and actions. It is through righteousness that we demonstrate our love for God and our commitment to His kingdom.

Let’s remember that righteousness is not something we can achieve on our own. It is a gift from God, made possible through the sacrifice of Jesus Christ. As we seek God’s kingdom, let’s rely on His grace and allow His righteousness to flow through us.

Forgetting the Past and Pressing Forward

In Philippians 3:13-14, the apostle Paul encourages us to forget what lies behind and press forward towards the goal of Christlikeness. As we embark on a new year, it’s important to let go of the past and focus on the future.

The past can sometimes hold us back, whether it’s through regrets, failures, or lingering pain. But God calls us to release those things and embrace His grace and forgiveness. By looking ahead and fixing our eyes on Jesus, we can move forward with renewed purpose and passion.

Let’s take this opportunity to let go of any baggage from the past and embrace the future that God has in store for us. Let’s press on towards the goal of becoming more like Christ, allowing His love and truth to guide us every step of the way.

Maintaining Unity and Love

Emphasis on Unity Among Church Members

As believers, we are called to maintain unity among ourselves. In Ephesians 4:3, we’re encouraged to make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace. Unity is a powerful force that strengthens our witness and brings glory to God.

Maintaining unity requires humility, forgiveness, and a commitment to love one another. It means setting aside our differences and focusing on what unites us as followers of Christ. When we stand together in unity, we become a reflection of God’s love and grace to the world.

Let’s prioritize unity within our church community. Let’s celebrate our diversity and choose to love and support one another, even in the midst of disagreements. Together, we can demonstrate the power of God’s love and make a lasting impact on the world around us.

Importance of Fervent Love

Fervent love is at the core of maintaining unity and building strong relationships within the church. In 1 Peter 4:8, we’re reminded that love covers a multitude of sins. When we love one another deeply and genuinely, we create an environment of grace and acceptance.

Fervent love goes beyond surface-level niceties. It requires vulnerability, sacrifice, and a willingness to put others’ needs before our own. It means being quick to listen, slow to speak, and seeking understanding. When we love with fervency, we reflect the love of Christ and draw others closer to Him.

Let’s make a commitment to love one another fervently in the coming year. Let’s be intentional about showing kindness, extending grace, and forgiving one another. As we do so, we’ll create a community that reflects the heart of God and draws others to experience His love.
